The Human Resource Department oversees all labor and employee related matters for the school district.  Responsibility for all certificated, support, administrative, and all substitute employees rests with this department.  The department manages personnel related issues for nearly 800 regular employees as well as in excess of 500 substitutes.  The district’s employee benefits, unemployment, and workers compensation programs are also coordinated through the human resource department.

Medina Square

            Located in a rapidly growing community in Northeast Ohio, Medina is in close proximity to Cleveland and Akron.  The school district is composed primarily of the City of Medina and two surrounding townships, covering 52 square miles.  This historic community is a blend of old and new, capturing the spirit of the past, and moving forward to meet the needs and opportunities of the 21st  Century.

            The school district has made a commitment to expand learning opportunities for students.  This ranges from consulting teachers to the integration of technology into the curriculum to increased staff development.  Programs are being developed to provide a personalized learning environment for all students.
