Communication Offices

Communication Office  The Communications Office manages internal and external communications for the school district.  This includes publications such as the Bee Informed, annual report, and school related brochures.  The department oversees the district’s web site and works closely with the educational channel 36 and produces shows such as the Superintendent’s Spotlight.  Community forums/meetings, press conferences, district information packets, staff award programs, the school calendar and other informational services are coordinated by the department.

The school district communicates to parents and residents in many ways:

  • A monthly newsletter, The Bee Informed, is published as a tab of The Gazette.
  • The School-Home Link is a voice system that is available to anyone with a touch-tone phone by dialing 330-722-8477 and the three-digit code of the teacher or administrator who has left a message. The numbers are found at this Web site under the names of participating schools.
  • Armstrong Cable subscribers may turn to Medina Cable Access Channel 36, which is dedicated to school news and programs. The schedule is shown on the channel and is posted at the MCA web site.
  • A district wide Annual Report and Calendar is updated annually and available to residents.  A calendar of each month's events is available at this Web site.
  • Public dialogue sessions are held periodically as needed on various topics of community concern. They will be announced on MCA36, in the various print media and on our Web calendars.
