APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1) Applications may be downloaded from the
college or universities website, picked up in the Guidance Office (mostly
2) Complete all sections of the application that
are required by the student. Use BLACK ink or type. Make sure you
and your parents, if needed, sign the application.
3) If teacher or counselor recommendations are needed, fill out a Student Brag Sheet and have
your parents fill out the Parent Brag
Sheet. Make copies and distribute to the teacher or counselor when
you ask them to write the recommendation. Please allow 2 or 3 weeks for
this process. Provide the teacher or counselor with an
envelop for the recommendation with either the address of the school
(don't forget the stamp) or instructions to return it to your counselor.
4) Attach to the application any extra items, such as, personal essay,
activities sheets, sports schedule. All items should be typed and stapled
in the appropriate section to the application.
5) Write a check or money order for the processing fee, or pay
electronically on-line.
6) Bring the complete application to your Guidance Counselor where you
will need to fill out a green transcript request form.
If you file electronically, you will still need to fill out a green
transcript request
form. Each requested transcript will cost you a $1.00 processing fee.
This form will also generate your test scores, senior class schedule and
a current report card being mailed.
7) Give everything to the House Secretary: application, extra
items, recommendations, application check or money order and $1.00 fee.
Allow 10 days for the application to be processed and mailed from
8) If you file electronically and request a transcript to be mailed,
please be patient. Sometimes the admissions office will send a letter
requesting transcripts faster than the Guidance Office can mail them. If
you requested, it went! You can always check with the House Secretary to
see what day it got mailed.
IF YOU DO NOT REQUEST A TRANSCRIPT, NO TRANSCRIPT WILL EVER BE MAILED!!!
