American College Testing Assessment


* Taken as a college entrance examination near the end of the junior year and, if needed, again during the senior year.
* Measures knowledge and skills in English, Mathematics,
Reading and Scientific Reasoning through four multiple choice tests
* The ACT tends to be used by public, in-state colleges and universities.  Consult appropriate reference materials for specific institutional admissions requirements
* Students on a 504 Plan or I.E.P. which specifies accommodations should pick up the nonstandard test registration envelope in the HUB.  See your counselor for 504 questions or your lead teacher for I.E.P. questions.




Test Scores

  • Each test is scored from 1-36 and scaled for variations in difficulty.  The composite is the average of the four scaled scores.
  • Medina Composite Average 2006-2007        22.9
  • Ohio Composite Average 2006-2007            21.6
  • National Composite Average 2006-2007       21.2
