will receive a zero for that work and your parents and your principal will be
made aware of the incident. According to the student handbook, cheating results
in an ASD being assigned.
ATTENDANCE AND MAKE UP WORK
·
Your attendance
is essential to this class. When you
return to school after an excused absence, you should turn in any
work that was missed. It is your
responsibility to determine what your make up work is.
·
If your absence
is unexcused it is your responsibility to present an excused pass to me within
two days. Make up work will not be
accepted unless the absence is excused.
·
You have 1
day for each day of absence to make up missed homework. No late homework will be accepted.
·
You are
permitted to make up a missed test or quiz for an excused absence within 1
week from the date of the test or quiz. You may make up a test or quiz during study
hall, lunch or after school. You may not
make up a test during your class time since instruction occurs every day and
you would miss new material being presented.
·
If you are
absent the day before a test or quiz, you will be expected to take the test or
quiz since these are scheduled well in advance.
·
If you leave for
vacation, it is your responsibility to obtain the assignments covered during
this time. All assignments missed are due
on the day of your return to school. Any tests or quizzes missed during
this time are due two days after your return. If this time line
is not followed, you will receive a zero for any homework or tests.
·
Failure to meet your
responsibilities does not constitute a crisis on my part, but may
result in a zero on work that is not made up within a specified time frame.
EXTRA CREDIT
·
No student will
receive extra credit if he or she has missed more than 5% of the homework
assigned.
·
The only
opportunities for extra credit are grade sheets collected at midterm and end of
the quarter or selected activities assigned by me.
The
point system is used to determine your grade.
This grade is computed into a percentage (your points/total possible
points). Your points are accumulated
from your scores on tests, quizzes, homework, projects, or work sheets. You are expected to keep track of your
grades.
