Mr. Tyler L. Skidmore

Mr. Tyler Skidmore is an active music educator and performer.  A year-2000 alum of Medina High School, Mr. Skidmore attempts to share the joys and challenges of choral music with the current students of MHS.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and is currently completing a master’s in choral conducting and voice performance at Kent State University.  Mr. Skidmore has performed professionally as a chorister with Quire Cleveland, Apollo’s Fire Singers, and Opera Cleveland.  He has also performed with The Men of Independence Barbershop Chorus, the What’s Next quartet, Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus, Blossom Festival Chorus, and various other ensembles and church choirs.  He is privileged to have performed a wide variety of outstanding music with noted conductors including Pierre Boulez, Franz Welser-Möst, and Jahja Ling.  He also directs music at the Wadsworth Church of the Nazarene.
