About The Teacher

NAME: Ms. Ann Cleary
SCHOOL: Medina Senior High School
CLASS: 1. Physical Earth Science and 2. Astronomy Elective

I am currently in my 31th year of teaching. My educational background includes:
     The College of Wooster, BA 1979
     The Wesleyan University, MALS 1985
     35 hours of graduate work beyond the Masters Level
     National Board Certified Teacher, 2000

During the summers of 2003 and 2004 I have participated in CPO Science workshops to better align the 9th grade curriculum to the OGT test taken during a student's sophomore year.

I have also lived outdoors for an entire year, hiked almost every National Park, and taken specific course work for Earth Science teachers while traveling in our National Parks. Ask me how many times I have hiked the Grand Canyon, Glacier National Park trails, Mt. St. Helens, or slept beneath the moon and stars!!!!!

I am also self taught in the area of astronomy and will take any willing Medina High School student or teacher outside to learn more about the stars! Look for announcements regarding our star-gazing sessions or telescope mornings or nights.
