ODE Science Standards for this unit:

(Science & Technology Indicator #1 – Examine how science and technology have advanced through the contributions of many different people, cultures and times in history.)

(Earth Science Indicator #1 – Describe how objects in the solar system are in regular and predictable motions that explain such phenomena as days, years, seasons, eclipses, tides, and moon cycles)

(Earth Science Indicator #2 – Explain that gravitational force is the dominant force determining motions in the solar system and in particular keeps the planets in orbit around the sun)

(E.S. Indicator #3 – Compare the orbits and composition of comets and asteroids with that of Earth)
(E.S. Indicator #4 – Describe the effect that asteroids or meteoroids have when moving through space and sometimes entering planetary atmospheres [meteor-“shooting star” and meteorite])

Monday	Finish Vocab. pp. 2-3 plus Comet on p. 4 = which will be checked on Thurday 10/16. Finish Earth Takes Shape Timeline & Moon Phase Flipchart questions
Tuesday	OAT Seasons question.
Wednesday	Finish J Ch. 2 & 3 Review.
Thursday	Study for J Ch. 2 & 3 Test which is on Friday.
Friday	Relax!
